Basic:
Analyze Shakespeares tools and transfer them into the improvisational field. Shakespeare is open, not to precise, this is the chance for impro. Shakespeare is more about how he did it, than what he did. The plots are very often crapp.
Elements.
- Rhythm (ijambic pentameter, repeat “a horse, a horse…)
- Rhyme means End of Scene (they used it like this)
- Say what you are doing ( i take out my sword)
- repeat things
- love, desire, kill
- use names a lot, use them in the beginning of Sentences (Antonio, what s up around the rialto)
- Metaphores of Death, Nature
- 5 Ways of saying the same thing
- do not surprise, everything is obvious
- use strong contrasts: dark/light night/day
- God s are from Roman mythology (The name of god was forbidden)
- Mimikry (tryout, lecturing in scenes, how to make me a woman, how can i kiss him, you are him
- 2 Ways of Monologue/Sullilogue (to be or not to be Hamlet)
- Gossip Scenes. Establishing one thing of an outside person. (do nothing, have no drama yourself)
- Strong Contrasts
- The Gods are very often of the roman mythology, because they were not allowed to name god
- Use Symbolism
- Use Metaphore in Variations
Shakespeare is about expansion and style, not so much about plot

wahrscheinlich, weil ich unregelmäßig und systemlos schreibe. dafür habe ich eben diesen Blog. schöne Grüße Ed. (Del rules sowieso, Randy hat auch was cooles gesagt beim Workshop: I wish the Improvizer s position to society was the same as the fool to the king in Shapespeare s plays. But we decided to do not.)
